Toachi Mining is committed to working in an open, respectful and transparent relationship with local communities where we operate. At the La Plata project, we are working and living in the community of Palo Quemado and understand that for us to succeed, the community and its people have to also succeed and share in the benefits of any mine development
Our goal is to contribute to the social and economic development of Palo Quemado and the surrounding communities by engaging, hiring and investing in training of local people for direct employment on our project.
We think that successfully engaging with local communities is just smart business and enables us to earn the social license required to operate and succeed in new cultural environments.
Local communities are stakeholders and Toachi Mining recognizes that.
